1. Introduction

Our suppliers and third-party intermediaries (鈥渂usiness听partners鈥�) contribute to the added value, quality, and听innovative strength of 海角社区. Consequentially, our business听partners have significant influence on the achievement of听our sustainability goals. Strong business partners contribute听to a positive impact on the ecological and social aspects of听our business activities. At 海角社区, we aim to source ethically听and responsibly. To ensure our standards, we require听all direct business partners to comply with this codex in听addition to their necessary commitment towards their own听supply chain. In return, business partners can expect 海角社区听to abide by and actively conduct business according to our听own .

2. General Commitment

As our to听take precautionary measures to avoid harm to people听and the environment. Human rights, due diligence, and听environmental protections must be fully observed in your听own business operations and those of your direct business听partners. We require that you establish an adequate and听effective risk management system, in order to identify risks听to people and the environment and to prevent, end, or听minimize harms. This can include either systematic or adhoc risk analyses of your business and your direct business听partners. You are responsible for risks or injuries you cause听or contribute to within your supply chain.

You undertake to participate in 海角社区鈥檚 IT-supported听monitoring process to verify compliance with these due听diligence obligations.

a) Anti-corruption obligation

All forms of engagement in bribery and corruption are听strictly prohibited. As business partner you must not tolerate听any form of direct or indirect engagement in corruption听or bribery and must not grant, offer, or promise anything听of value to a government official or to a counterparty in听the private sector to influence official action or obtain an听improper advantage.

b) Health, Safety and Environment

海角社区 expects you to take responsibility for the health and听safety of your employees in accordance with the applicable听statutory and international standards to provide safe听working conditions.

As our business partner, you must strive to minimize听waste as well as air, soil and water emissions, and also听contribute to the recycling and reuse of materials and听products in addition to meeting the requirements stated in听the Chemical Checklist. You must apply听 international and听national standards to the handling, storage, and disposal of听hazardous waste as well as handle chemicals harm-free to听the environment and continuously improve energy efficiency.

Objectives shall include the prevention of long-lived听pollutants (), mercury emissions (), and the control of transboundary movements听of hazardous wastes ().

c) Human Rights and Labour Practices

海角社区 is a member of the and requires听you to respect all internationally proclaimed human rights听by avoiding causation of and complicity in any human rights听violations. Compliance requires that one does not:

鈥� use or contribute to slavery, servitude, forced or听compulsory labor and human trafficking, or make use of听child or forced labour1;

鈥� discriminate based on race, colour, sex, language,听national or social origin, birth or other status, ethnicity,听cultural background, age, disability, religious beliefs,听political or other opinion, sexual orientation or any other听characteristic;

鈥� exceed the maximum legal working hours permitted2;

鈥� obstruct workers鈥� rights to assembly, association, and听collective bargaining;

鈥� make use of any type of mental and/or physical听forms of disciplinary action and engage in systematic听harassment.

Business partners must pay at least the legal minimum wage听and provide any overtime compensation specified under听applicable laws and regulations.

d) Other aspects that require our partners鈥櫶�attention

Business partners must avoid and/or disclose conflicts of听interest that may influence our business relationship. You听must not directly or indirectly facilitate money laundering听or terrorism financing. Compliance with applicable export,听re-export controls, and customs regulations regarding听products, data, software, and information technology is听mandatory.

3. Monitoring

海角社区 reserves the right to monitor existing and new business听partners for compliance with this codex, on a regular or ad听hoc basis if necessary. Alternatively, monitoring may be听carried out by a specialized, independent organization.

海角社区 will address cases of non-compliance with appropriate听actions, which may include working together with the听partner to resolve non-compliance within an appropriate听time frame if the conduct of the business partner indicates听a true desire to remediate the violations of this codex. 海角社区,听however, reserves the right to end the business relationship听in the event of serious or repeated infringement.

Cases of non-compliance can be reported through 海角社区`s听anonymous or directly听through our supply managers as grievance mechanisms.
